An industrial washer extractor washes and spin-extracts in one machine. It is sized by the kilograms of dry linen it handles per load, so drum volume alone will not tell you what you need. HOZO’s standard range covers 15 to 120 kg per load, with larger builds available on request. Commercial laundries plan around 90 to 95 percent of rated capacity and roughly one 60-minute cycle per hour per machine, so a 100 kg unit clears about 92.5 kg of linen an hour. Multiply that against your daily volume and operating hours and you have your machine count.

Industrial Washing Machine Applications Across Industries
Hospitality Operations
A 100 to 300 room hotel processes roughly 500 to 2,000 kg of linen a day and runs two to three XGQ-50F or XGQ-100F washer extractors with matching dryers. Above 300 rooms the daily load moves into the 2,000 to 5,000 kg band and the fleet grows to three to five machines. Under 500 kg a day, one or two XGQ-25F or XGQ-30F units cover it.
Central Laundry Powerhouse
Central plants run 5,000 kg a day and up across mixed contracts. A typical line is several SXT-120FQ units as the main washers, with GLX-50 or GLX-100 barrier machines kept on a separate hospital line so soiled and clean sides never meet. Dryers pair roughly one to one with washers.
Healthcare Cleanliness
Hospitals size around infection control before volume. GLX-50 and GLX-100 barrier washer extractors load on the soiled side and unload on the clean side, keeping the two zones physically separated. A 300-bed hospital typically runs two GLX-100 units. Nursing homes usually add a lint collector to the dryer line.
Commercial Laundry Efficiency
Contract laundries are measured on cost per kilogram processed. That number comes from three inputs: how many kilograms each cycle actually clears (rated capacity at a 90 to 95 percent loading rate), how many cycles fit the operating window (about one per hour per machine), and utility draw per cycle. Machine count follows from the first two.

Workwear laundries in food plants, mining and manufacturing run 1,500 to 3,000 kg a day of heavily soiled garments. A typical line is three XGQ-100F washer extractors with two HG-100 dryers. Flatwork ironing is skipped, since workwear does not go through an ironer line.

Gyms and sports facilities run frequent, light loads of towels and synthetic kit. Daily volume usually sits under 500 kg, covered by one or two XGQ-25F or XGQ-30F machines with an HG-30 dryer. A towel folder is added once hand-folding becomes the bottleneck.
What Can Be Customized
Voltage and heating type are set per market (steam, electric or gas, subject to model). Control panel language, drum and shell finish, drain and inlet positions, and dosing-pump interfaces are configured per project. Capacities outside the standard 15 to 120 kg span are built on request.
Washer Extractors Compared With Tunnel Washers
A continuous tunnel washer moves linen through fixed chambers and suits one linen type at very high volume. A washer extractor washes one batch at a time, so each load can run its own program. That matters when a plant handles sheets, towels, workwear and barrier-separated hospital linen on the same floor.
The practical dividing line is batch variety, not plant size: tunnels win where the product mix is uniform, washer extractors win where it is not. Most hotel, hospital and contract laundries below roughly 5,000 kg a day run washer extractors for that reason, and larger plants often run both, with tunnels on the bulk line and washer extractors on everything else.
