Why Hotels Are Moving Laundry In-House
High Volume, Tight Turnaround
A full change of a room's linen, sheets, duvet cover, pillowcases and towels, weighs about 3.5 kg. Every 100 rooms changed adds about 350 kg to the day's wash, and all of it has to be back on the shelf before the next check-in.
Steam, Water and Power
Running cost is mostly steam for the dryers and ironer, water for the washers, and electricity. Each is known per machine before you buy: an HG-100 dryer uses 90–120 kg of steam an hour, a Y Series ironer about 100 kg an hour per roll.
Guest Satisfaction at Stake
Guests notice a creased pillowcase and a flat towel. Pressing quality comes from the ironer's roll count and drum heat; towel softness comes from how gently the dryer moves air. Both are decided when you choose the machines.

An outside laundry charges for its labour, transport and margin on every kilogram. In house you pay for steam, water, power and your own staff, and the machines keep working long after they have paid for themselves. Programs Set for Your Linen
A plant washing for many clients runs one chemistry for everyone. In house you choose the program, temperature and detergent for your own fabrics; our washer extractors store 30 automatic programs and can be programmed on the touchscreen.
Full Quality Control
Your linen never mixes with another client's. You inspect every load as it comes off the line, and in peak season you add a shift instead of waiting for a pickup.

How to Size Your Hotel Laundry Equipment
Size the laundry by daily kilograms, not by stars. A full change of a room’s linen weighs about 3.5 kg, so multiply the rooms you change each day by 3.5, then add restaurant, spa and staff uniform linen. These are the configurations we quote most often:

Note on ironers: roll count sets speed, from 3–15 m/min on one roll to 10–60 m/min on six. Width is chosen by your largest flat item, from 1,400 to 3,300 mm; most hotel laundries take 3,300 mm for king-size sheets. Worked example: 1,500 room sets a day × 3.5 kg = 5,250 kg. Our standard proposal for that load is six 100 kg washers plus one 50 kg washer for heavy-soil rewash, four 100 kg dryers, and a 3.3 m line of feeder, 6-roll ironer, folder and stacker, running about nine hours a day.
