THE LAUNDRY PROCESS
Equipment at Every Stage of the Workflow
Linen moves one way through a plant, from soiled intake to clean storage, so dirty and clean never cross. Every stage below is sized to the same daily weight, and the stages have to match: an ironer runs only as fast as the feeder in front of it.
1. Sorting & Weighing
Sort by item and soil level, sheets, towels, uniforms, and weigh every load. Loading a washer to about 90–95% of its rated capacity gives clean results without wasting water or chemicals.
2. Washing & Extraction
Washer extractors from 15 to 120 kg, inverter-driven, with 280–312 G extraction, so the dryers have less water to remove. A 50 kg machine beside the 100 kg units takes small batches and heavy-soil rewash.
3. Drying
Tumble dryers of 30–100 kg. The HG keeps towels soft; the HSG-100 dries 100 kg of towels in about 45 minutes on 100 kg of steam. Steam or gas on both, electric on the HG only.
4. Feeding & Spreading
A GSB feeder takes two operators spreading by hand; a GZB-3300D single-station spreader needs one; a triple-station spreader with three operators keeps a 6-roll YH ironer full at speed.
5. Ironing
Flatwork ironers with Ø800 mm rolls, 1 to 6 rolls, up to 3,300 mm wide, 3–60 m/min by roll count. A 5-roll Y Series irons about 130–150 bed sheets an hour; the 6-roll YH about 200–250.
6. Folding & Stacking
ZD-3300V linen folders take sheets and duvet covers at 10–60 m/min, with DM stackers behind them. Pillowcases go to a dedicated pillowcase line; towels go from the dryer to a towel folder.
