Outsourcing Costs Spiraling Out of Control

This 5-star hotel group was outsourcing laundry for all 3 properties at $1.20/kg, with monthly costs exceeding $180,000.

Quality was inconsistent — guest complaints about rough towels and stained pillowcases were becoming a brand reputation issue. The hotel group had no control over turnaround time, which became critical during peak Hajj/Umrah season when occupancy hit 100% across all properties.

They needed to bring laundry in-house with a centralized facility that could handle the volume of 1,200+ rooms while delivering 5-star quality consistently.

THE SOLUTION

Full-Line Centralized Laundry Facility

HOZO designed and equipped a centralized laundry facility serving all 3 hotel properties with a complete processing line.

The washing section features four 100kg industrial washers paired with four 100kg industrial dryers for maximum throughput.

The flatwork finishing line is built around a 6-roller YH heavy-duty ironer with 12mm carbon steel rollers for consistent high-speed processing. A triple-station feeder matches the YH ironer’s throughput, and a ZD-3300V folder handles automatic folding.

A dedicated HPT pillowcase line frees the main ironer for bed sheets — a critical design choice that maximizes overall facility throughput. HOZO also provided complete layout design with workflow optimization for the entire facility.
