XGQ-100F 100 kg Washer Extractor: Specifications and Where It Fits
The XGQ-100F is a 100 kg washer extractor, the general-purpose size in the HOZO Laundry range. The drum measures Ø1,230 × 830 mm, about 986 litres, and extraction runs at 660 rpm, up to 310 G, on a 7.5 kW motor with an 11 kW inverter.
Key specifications
- Drum: Ø1,230 × 830 mm, about 986 litres, with a 3 mm drum wall. The usual industry benchmark is 10 litres of drum volume per kilogram of rated load. You can check any machine the same way: measure the drum, work out its volume, divide by the rated capacity.
- Extraction: 660 rpm, up to 310 G. The barrier machines of the same weight run at 600 rpm and 220 G.
- Utilities: steam at 0.4–0.6 MPa, about 68 kg/h; 1,500 litres per one-wash, two-rinse cycle; 100 L/h of compressed air. In service the machine draws about 7.92 kWh, covering the drive, inverter and controls — heating is a separate line on the bill.
- Footprint: 1,800 × 2,100 × 2,300 mm, 3,250 kg. It is fully suspended, as is normal at this capacity, and runs steadily without foundation bolts.
- Build: 304 stainless steel on water-contact parts, with SOC V-type water seals in a double-seal arrangement.
Where it fits: the 100 kg XGQ is the workhorse size for hotel, commercial and hospital laundries. Choose the tilting SXT-120FQ instead when batches are regularly heavier than 100 kg and unloading is the bottleneck; choose the GLX-100 when infection control rules call for soiled and clean linen to be physically separated. For smaller daily volumes, the 50 kg XGQ-50F fits better.

What the XGQ-100F Costs to Run, and What It Is Built From
Running cost, not nameplate: Nameplate ratings tell you what a machine can draw at peak load, not what it costs across a shift. The XGQ-100F draws approximately 7.92 kWh in normal operation, covering the drive motor, inverter and control system. Water consumption is 1,500 litres for a full one-wash, two-rinse cycle, and the pneumatic system needs a compressed air supply of 100 L/h.
Heating is a separate line on the bill: On steam, the standard specification at this capacity, the machine consumes about 68 kg of steam per hour. Plants without a boiler can order an electric-heated variant, though most 100kg-class operations find steam more economical. For budgeting at plant level, a laundry processing around 1,500 kg of linen per day on a complete HOZO line draws roughly 49 kWh of total electrical load per hour, with steam carrying the heating duty.
Bearings and seals decide the lifespan: Both sit where an operator cannot inspect them, and both are expensive to reach once the machine is installed and plumbed in. The XGQ-100F runs TWB heavy-duty bearings, Timken-licensed and specified for commercial laundry duty, in a twin-bearing arrangement. Water seals are SOC V-type units sourced from qualified suppliers, and parts in contact with water are 304 stainless steel. When comparing quotations, ask each supplier the same question about component brands and ask for the answer in writing.
Certification and delivery: The XGQ-100F is covered by CE certification against the Machinery, Low Voltage and EMC Directives, and HOZO holds ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Standard lead time is usually 10 to 15 days from order confirmation, with custom voltage or control interface language adding to that. Certificate reference numbers and a written delivery schedule are provided on request.
