Y Series Running Costs Across Roller Counts
The machine itself uses very little electricity: Drive and controls draw 0.79 kWh on a single-roller build and about 1.58 kWh at four rollers. Nearly all of the operating cost sits in the heat, not the motor, which is why heating source decides the economics of an ironing line.
Steam demand scales with rollers: Roughly 100 kg per hour per roller, so a single-roller machine needs about 100 kg/h and a four-roller line around 400 kg/h. On gas the figures run about 6 m³/h per roller. Electric heating exists across the Y range (28.8 kW single-roller up to 115.2 kW at four rollers) but is seldom economical above a single roller.
Sizing before you buy: The most common mistake is ordering roller count from throughput alone without confirming the boiler can carry the steam load. Check available steam capacity first, then pick roller count.
Build and paperwork: LS inverters, 304 stainless steel structure and DSC steam traps. CE certified against the Machinery, Low Voltage and EMC Directives, with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Lead time normally 10 to 15 days from order confirmation.
