HTF-16 Towel Cross Folder: Dedicated Cross-Fold Towel Folding Machine
The HTF-16 is a standalone, single-lane folder built for one job: the cross fold on large bath towels, the kind used in spas, bathhouses and hotel bathrooms. Two horizontal folds and one vertical fold on every piece, with an automatic stacker you set to your own stack count.
- Made for large bath towels: spa, bathhouse and hotel bath sheets
- One fold pattern, the cross fold: two horizontal folds and one vertical fold
- Single lane: one feed position, one stacking outlet
- Automatic stacking with an adjustable stack count; most laundries set about 5
- Folds towels, bath towels and bath mats up to 1,000 mm wide and 2,000 mm long
- Better value than a multi-program folder when your fold requirement is fixed
A Towel Folder Built Around One Fold: the Cross Fold
The HTF-16 is a standalone towel folding machine built around the large bath towels used in spas, bathhouses and hotels, for laundries whose customers want those towels delivered cross-folded. It runs one fold pattern only: two horizontal folds and one vertical fold. There is no program menu to set up and no fold choice to get wrong at the start of a shift. A towel goes in flat and comes out cross-folded and stacked.
What the machine does:
- Dedicated cross fold: Every piece gets two horizontal folds and one vertical fold. The HTF-16 is built for this pattern, not a multi-program folder set to it.
- Single lane, automatic stacking: Folded pieces go to one stacking outlet. The operator sets how many pieces make a stack; most laundries run stacks of about 5.
- Towels, bath towels and bath mats: Any piece within the 1,000 mm working width and the 2,000 mm maximum feed length can be folded, bath mats included.
- Light on utilities: 0.75 kW total input, and about 40 l/h of compressed air at 0.6 MPa.
If you need several fold options, or automatic sorting of mixed towel sizes, the HTF-10 and the HTF-20 are the better fit. The HTF-16 is for the laundry that folds most of its towels one way and wants exactly that fold on every piece. When the fold requirement is that clear, a single-pattern machine is the better value: you pay for one fold done well, not for programs you will never use.

What to Check Before Specifying a Cross Folder
One fold, by design: The HTF-16 only makes the cross fold. That is the point of the machine, and it is also the reason it is the wrong choice if the laundries or hotels you supply ask for different folds on different items. Confirm what your end customers specify before choosing between this and a multi-program folder. If the answer is a fixed cross fold on bath towels, the HTF-16 costs less than a multi-program machine for the same result.
Where it sits in the line: Towels are folded straight after drying, not after ironing, so the HTF-16 belongs downstream of the tumble dryers, apart from the flatwork line. Allow for its 3,800 mm length when planning the floor.
Utilities: A 380 V three-phase supply with 4 × 2.5 mm² cable, and a stable compressed air supply at 0.6 MPa through a DN10 inlet.
Certification and delivery: CE certified, and built in our ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified factory. Lead time is normally 10 to 15 days from order confirmation.

FAQ: HTF-16 Towel Cross Folder
Every piece gets two horizontal folds and one vertical fold. This is the only fold pattern the machine runs; it is built for this pattern rather than configured to it.
It is designed around large bath towels and bath sheets, the sizes used in spas, bathhouses and hotel bathrooms. Smaller towels and bath mats can be folded too, as long as the piece is no wider than 1,000 mm and no longer than 2,000 mm.
Folded pieces are stacked automatically at one outlet. The operator sets how many pieces go in each stack; most laundries use about 5.
A 3-phase 380 V 50 Hz supply with 4 × 2.5 mm² cable (0.75 kW total input), compressed air at 0.6 MPa through a DN10 inlet (about 40 l/h), and floor space for a 3,800 × 1,570 × 1,400 mm machine weighing 600 kg.
No. The HTF-16 runs the cross fold only: two horizontal folds and one vertical fold. If you need other folds, the HTF-10 and HTF-20 offer several fold options.
After the tumble dryers. Towels are not ironed, so the HTF-16 stands on its own, apart from the flatwork line. Allow for its 3,800 mm length.
